The identity of the new King and Queen is one of the best kept secrets in the City of Jefferson. Nominations for King and Queen are solicited from the community early in the new year. Only the Selection Committee, made up of the last three years of Kings and Queens know who the next Royalty of Gemuetlichkeit Days will be until they are announced at 7:30 p.m. at May Ball.
Our "Find the Mecki!" contest involves a 3-1/2 to 4-inch doll that resembles the famous German hedgehog. The Mecki is hidden within the Jefferson area in a public place. Clues to finding the Mecki will be posted daily after the start of the contest around 3:00 p.m. each day. The clues will be published here and on our Facebook page, and will be available at the Jefferson Public Library after 3:00 p.m.
Our annula Gemuetlichkeit Days Trap Shoot is held at the Jefferson Sportsmen’s Club, which is an excellent facility. Don’t miss the action and challenge to do your royal best.
